The EXFIL® SAR is the first purpose-built search and rescue helmet to provide accessory mounting capabilities while meeting key industrial and mountaineering performance standards. The EXFIL® SAR Backcountry features a glass-reinforced polycarbonate shroud that is designed to handle lights and cameras. The helmet also includes a sport-style under the chin retention system with a Fidlock® magnetic buckle for easy one-handed operation and a BOA® Fit System to dial in precise fit adjustment while providing single-handed quick release. The EXFIL® SAR comes standard with two vent covers to prevent objects and debris from entering the crown vents of the helmet.

Solid Lid
The Team Wendy Exfil SAR Backcountry ticks all the rescue boxes. Once you’re outside the aircraft it’s good for mountain rescue, rope rescue, and swift water rescue. Comfortable, vented relatively well and adjustable, it’s our go to crew helmet. Personally I prefer the Ops Core Picatinny rail and find the Team Wendy rail a bit odd, but that’s probably just user familiarity. We use Peltor Comtac comsets amd they fit the rail with the proper adapter. We’re switching to Ops Core AMP comsets, so we will see if that’s compatible. All around, the best rescue helmet we have.

Solid piece of kit! Protects the head well but is low profile enough to be functional both in and out of the helicopter. Good for mountain rescue, swift water rescue and rope rescue. I find the rails a bit odd compared to my Ops Core helmet picatinny rails, but still very functional.
