The Viper Digital Camera Adapter from Vortex turns any Vortex Viper spotting scope into a digiscope with your digital camera. The adapter makes the connection between the spotting scope and a variety of digital cameras.

A threaded ring is required to connect the lens of the camera to the adapter. This requirement applies to both a point-and-shoot and a DSLR camera. Threaded rings are included for 30mm, 37mm, 43mm, 52mm, 55mm, and 58mm lenses. Some cameras will need an additional step ring (not included) in order to attach the camera adapter ring to the camera.

A DSLR camera body with a fixed 50mm lens can be used with the Viper Digital Camera Adapter. Most digital camera 50mm lenses have a 52mm thread. The specific adapter ring that fits the threads of the DSLR camera lens will need to be used.

Use the Viper Digital Camera Adapter with a point-and-shoot digital camera that has no more than a 3-4x optical zoom. The camera will need filter threads. Most point-and-shoot digital cameras do not have filter threads. For point-and-shoot digital cameras without filter threads the PS-100 attachment (not included) provides the required 37mm threads needed to connect to the 37mm Viper digital camera adapter ring.
